With the addition of new destinations and our continued growth, Norwegian is establishing an additional position within the Inflight Retail team.

The Inflight Retail team is responsible for managing and overseeing the sale of retail products on flights while ensuring smooth and seamless inflight retail related operations. For the Inflight Retail Coordinator, this includes a variety of tasks and functions. Here are the primary responsibilities:

  • Monitor and follow up on daily inflight retail operational performance;
  • Collaborate with external partners to track operational KPIs and performance on the agreed service level targets
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and cabin crew, to share relevant updates and gather input and feedback on operational performance.
  • Initiate activities to continuously improve costs and efficiency within Last Mile Handling services.
  • Analyze operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive the necessary actions.

The Inflight Retail Operations Coordinator position can be based at Arlanda or in Copenhagen, and reports to VP Inflight Retail .

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excel knowledge and ability to analyze and develop performance reports
  • Ability to work on own initiative and in a high-pace environment
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change quickly
  • Previous experience within airline industry is preferred but not mandatory
  • Fluent in English both verbal and in writing

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Monitor and follow-up on daily operational performance
  • Together with external partners, follow up operational KPI's performance and SLA (Service Level Agreement) targets
  • Initiate, implement and monitor the performance of agreed corrective actions
  • Continually review processes with target of improving efficiencies and introduce solutions to minimize cost
  • Collaborate closely with external stakeholders – provider of retail services and providers of last mile handling services for delivering on the agreed service targets
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders – Operations department, cabin crew representatives for sharing the relevant updates and gathering the required frontline input and feedback on operational performance
  • Initiate activities for continuous cost and efficiency improvements within Last Mile Handling services
  • Be the point of contact on behalf of Inflight for Charter flights etc.
  • Be the point of contact for any operational discrepancies .

Our Story

The Norwegian group is a leading Nordic aviation company, headquartered at Fornebu outside Oslo, Norway. The company has over 8,200 employees and owns two of the prominent airlines in the Nordics: Norwegian Air Shuttle and Widerøe's Flyveselskap. Widerøe was acquired by Norwegian in 2024, aiming to facilitate seamless air travel across the two airline's networks.

Norwegian Air Shuttle, the largest Norwegian airline with around 4,700 employees, operates an extensive route network connecting Nordic countries to key European destinations. In 2023, Norwegian carried over 20 million passengers and maintained a fleet of 87 Boeing and 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Widerøe's Flyveselskap, Norway's oldest airline, is Scandinavia's largest regional carrier. The airline has more than 3,500 employees. Mainly operating the short-runway airports in rural Norway, Widerøe operates several state contract routes (PSO routes) in addition to its own commercial network. In 2023, the airline had 3.3 million passengers and a fleet of 48 aircraft, including 45 Bombardier Dash 8's and three Embraer E190-E2's. Widerøe Ground Handling provides ground handling services at 41 Norwegian airports.

The Norwegian group has sustainability as a key priority and has committed to significantly reducing carbon emissions from its operations. Among numerous initiatives, the most noteworthy is the investment in production and use of fossil-free aviation fuel (SAF). Norwegian strives to become the sustainable choice for its passengers, actively contributing to the transformation of the aviation industry.
