Avantor is currently seeking a motivated Research Technician in Imaging to join the team in Mölndal, Gothenburg. This role involves being the primary contact for the imaging platform and includes tasks such as equipment checks, user training, cell analysis, and more. This position is a full-time temporary role for one year, located at our customer site AstraZeneca in Mölndal. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide various benefits such as a bonus, pension plan, and health care allowance. Working Hours

Monday - Friday, starting anytime between 6:00 - 9:00 and finishing between 15:00 - 18:00, depending on your start time.

The Team

This Research Technician in Imaging is part of a friendly, supportive, and inclusive team of 8 to 9 colleagues. This team is part of our Lab & Production Services department, which assists top pharmaceutical companies and labs worldwide in Research and Development within the Life Sciences sector.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Master's or PhD in a scientific field like Bioscience
• Experience: Working with microscopy, in a CCI environment (Centre for Cell Imaging), handling laboratory and cell work with a focus on microscope techniques
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge of MS Office, effective communication skills in English (Swedish is a plus)
• Soft Skills: Sociable, approachable, service-oriented, diligent, hardworking, motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and analytical.

How You Will Thrive and Create an Impact

• Act as the main contact for service and IT on the imaging platform
• Manage data in the platform and oversee the database
• Establish and uphold policies and regulations such as best imaging practices and data integrity
• Maintain and clean lab equipment, like filling and emptying bottles
• Conduct QC activities, monitoring machine performance over time
• Provide training to new lab users on working with imaging equipment
• Maintain communication with service technicians from other firms when troubleshooting issues
• Analyze cells using imaging tools
• Participate in a steering group with Scientists and project teams to deliver top-notch service
