In Vivo Technician

The Opportunity:

Avantor is currently seeking a motivated In Vivo Technician for the growing team in Mölndal. In this role, you will directly support researchers working in the animal facilities by collecting and ordering laboratory materials, replenishing laboratory supplies, maintaining a clean work environment, and much more. Working Hours: Monday - Friday, start time between 6:00 - 9:00 and end time 15:00 - 18:00

Team

This is a newly formed team that is growing. Currently, the team consists of an In Vivo Lab Manager and an In Vivo Technician. Together, they belong to our Lab & Production Services department, which assists major pharmaceutical companies and laboratories worldwide with research and development in the Life Sciences industry.

Required Experience

Education: High school diploma, preferably related to animal handling

Experience:

• Experience with any type of animal work is a great asset
• Experience in a laboratory environment is a plus but not mandatory

Required Skills:

• Proficient in MS Office
• Fluent in both Swedish and good in English
• Curious, adaptable, and independent
• Service-minded, outgoing, and hardworking
• Comfortable working in an animal laboratory

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Support in cleaning and maintenance of lab glassware and lab accessories, including animal cages
• Collection, purchase, and replenishment of consumables, e.g. lab coats and chemicals
• Preparing goods for entry and exit in restricted areas
• Purchasing and replenishment of animal-related products for daily use, e.g. food
• Maintaining the work area
• Contribute to creating, maintaining, and updating relevant documents
