About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join Nanolyze. The role is integral to our assay development team and has high growth potential. You will take broad responsibility for assay/technology development in this role. Some of the tasks you will perform are:

  • Develop and optimize protocols for labelling nanoparticles
  • Perform surface functionalization of our biosensor surfaces.
  • Analyze client samples, perform data analysis and generate reports
  • Collaborate with hardware scientists on biosensor chip production, quality control and packaging.

To be successful in this position, you need to have an excellent knowledge of microscopy and a good understanding of labelling techniques and image analysis. You should be able to perform basic data analysis using a scripting language such as Python or R.

About you

Required

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to keep lab and materials in order
  • Proficient in fluorescence labelling and imaging using various microscopy methods
  • Scripting and data analysis skills using Python or R
  • Attention to detail and good writing and record-keeping skills
  • Professional level of English
  • Adaptable and capable of prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment

Meriting

  • Experience with analytical lab instrumentation
  • Experience working in a wet lab
  • Experience in working with nanoparticles
  • Surface chemistry knowledge
  • Fluency in Swedish
