We are now looking for a Senior Investment Professional to join our Transactions team in Sweden.

Introduction
Areim is an independent Nordic fund manager and property owner, founded and headquartered in Stockholm with offices in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, and London. We own and develop real estate and companies across the Nordic region within the light industrial, logistics, residential, office, retail, and data centre sectors.

The role
As a Senior Investment Professional you will source and work with investment opportunities in Sweden and drive the business performance. You and the team strive to identify great real estate investment opportunities with attractive growth potential. The focus is to implement and develop the strategy of current and future funds and products. To thrive in this role you have strategic experience and a good understanding of market conditions, deep industry knowledge as well as company fundamentals. The company invest into asset management intensive investments, including both properties and companies, where strong "hands-on" value-creation skills are necessary. The team also envisages to increase the focus on companies and platforms which requires operational experience. The position is based at the Areim head office at Regeringsgatan 30-32 and you will report to Head of Investments Sweden.

Key responsibilities and tasks

  • Proactively sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and structuring attractive deals in the region – both on and off market. Identifying key issues on transactions, recommending, and implementing solutions;
  • Underwriting expected returns, management and risk profile of the deal, preparing investment papers and presenting to the Investment Committee;
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of deal execution, including working effectively with legal, technical, tax and financial experts, other teams/departments and/or group offices;
  • Assessing specific markets risks and opportunities, maximizing returns on investments, and optimizing cash flows;
  • Working together with the finance and asset management team on portfolio related matters including additional investment and disposition opportunities;
  • Presenting to multi-disciplinary groups including: internal committees, external debt providers, and external joint venture partners, investors, etc.;
  • Responsible for "cradle to grave" delivery of the business plan; and
  • Providing leadership, motivating, and managing the deal- and wider Transactions team promoting and contributing teamwork, collaboration and team leadership.

Your profile
We are searching for a humble team player and business creator with a passion for investments and value creation. You enjoy talking to senior management at large international investors while also being able to lead and motivate the team to do their best. We assume that you have a strong academic record and a genuine interest of the real estate- and finance sector, experience in generating, executing and managing complex transactions as well as enjoy direct interaction with market participants and investors. A suitable profile is described below:

Education

  • Relevant academic degree, where a master's degree in real estate, finance or business administration is preferred.

Experiences

  • Solid property experience with a focus on transactions and business development. A strong preference for an individual who understands investment and asset management, as a principal;
  • Successful experience in generating/sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and executing property transactions;
  • Experience in creating and maintaining long-term sustainable business and relationships; and
  • Extended and well maintained network in the industry.

Leadership & personal qualities

  • Business-minded with strong drive and implementation skills, as well as the ability to independently drive processes;
  • High social competence with the ability to build long-term sustainable relationships;
  • Genuinely interested in developing your own and the team's leadership to contribute to Areims success; and
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with good analytical skills and strategic insight.
