About the role
The Value Development Manager plays crucial role in supporting Carlsberg’s strategic objective of growing value within the business and enhancing our Gross Profit after Logistics (GPaL) percentage. This role involves developing robust pricing, promotion, and assortment strategies to drive value and providing essential support and guidance to sales channels on value management topics.

On top of that – being part of the Business Development team – Value Development Manager gets end to end lead over selected cross-functional projects and contributes to formulating and delivering on company’s overall strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive the Value Management agenda across sales channels.
  • Improve pricing structures and provide analytics on optimal price levels.
  • Own the pricing process, including rationale, analysis, structure, recommendations, and target alignment across channels.
  • Lead the Value Management agenda for Systembolaget, focusing on pricing.
  • Work proactively with Systembolaget's profit pools and white spaces to identify business opportunities.
  • Participate in all levels of the annual planning process to integrate Value Management into brand and channel plans.
  • Generate and convert insights into business results by leading sales development initiatives based on Value Management findings.
  • Lead selected business development projects, focusing on growth possibilities within new categories and supporting the portfolio management process.

The role is based at Carlsberg Sverige’s headquarters in Solna, where you will be a member of the Systembolaget & Business Development team, together with seven dedicated colleagues. You will report directly to the Head of Systembolaget & Business Development.

Who are you?
The ideal candidate will have a higher education, preferably a university degree, and proven experience in analytical and business development roles. Experience with analytical tools and robust Excel skills are essential. The candidate should have at least three years of experience in FMCG or a similar industry, with experience in cross-channel and functional collaboration. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Swedish is considered an advantage.

As a person, strong coordination skills and a results-oriented mindset are crucial. We are looking for a self-starter with high ambition and a drive to achieve set objectives. You should be action-oriented, persistent, and capable of implementing change while demonstrating integrity, transparency, and reliability in interpersonal relations. The ability to work with individuals across different levels of the organization and cultures is essential. The role requires a driven, structured, and self-propelled individual with documented experience in sales analytics and leading commercial projects toward ambitious goals. Excellent communication skills are necessary, including the ability to provide consultancy to various stakeholders within the organization.
