ABOUT THE ROLE

 

The Head of Finance Nordics (f/m/d) will be responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of Straumann Group in the Nordic Cluster. The position holder provides the Cluster Country Manager and Leadership Team support, insights, and vision necessary to ensure that the country has proper operational controls, administrative and reporting processes and procedures in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The position holder will oversee all financial functions including financial accounting, planning, controlling, reporting, and all compliance matters. He/She will also be responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating overall country strategy with the management team with emphasis on top / bottom line performance, working capital and enhancing shareholder value.

The ideal candidate is a change agent who is willing to play an active role in a continuously changing and fast-growing environment and can communicate and align with all the different stakeholders in the company. Preferably the candidate has worked in an international company in a matrix organization with direct sales model and consignee sales.

The position is based in Göteborg, Sweden.

 

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities 

 

•    Define the country financial strategy, manage financial results, and communicate financial outcome requirements/ implications of business decisions to Nordic Cluster Lead Team, Head of Finance NEH EMEA and HQ Finance colleagues. 
•    Liaise with Financial shared services located abroad.
•    Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all reporting requirements (financial statements, balance sheet, special analysis, and information reports, etc.) and oversee all financial accounting.
•    Responsible for internal and external financial reporting (monthly management accounts, regular financial statements, monthly gap analysis vs. budget and prior year, monitor compliance with credit policies, etc.)
•    Lead the integration process in the reporting of the local ERP to the Straumann reporting process and structure.
•    Ensure compliance with legal reporting, accounting, and tax requirements as well as corporate reporting standards (IFRS).
•    Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with internal and external auditors and the finance committee; assess any changes necessary. Ensure records and systems are maintained in accordance with corporate auditing standards.
•    Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process (budget, latest estimates, forecasts) in conjunction with the Country Manager; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status, ensure adherence to budget and local organizations targets, identify negative       trends and deviations with proposed remedial actions.
•    Manage organizational cash flow, forecasting and assets; verify and implement valid trade receivables procedures to accelerate cash collection & follow up on trade receivables aging Implement a legally compliant, robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements
•    Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards. Ensure controlling processes are efficient by analyzing and interpreting relevant financial information.
•    Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department’s overall policy and procedure manual.
•    Deep expertise and understanding in direct accounting procedures such as collection and processing of bookkeeping data, updating of ledgers, verification of existing accounting procedures and implementation of new procedures, if necessary.
•    Manage, analyze, and improve processes and systems (SAP One/MM, Logistics Workflow, IT)
•    Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

 

 

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATES

 

Education/Professional experience

 

•    Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a senior-level finance or Controlling position ideally with financial management experience in a high-growth organization.
•    Experience in working in a global matrix organization and manufacturing business. 
•    Candidates with international exposure and/or assignments are a plus.

•    Degree in Finance, Accounting, and other Finance related certifications (CPA, CFA etc) 
•    Secretary (CS) and post-graduate qualifications from internationally recognized schools will be considered as a plus Solid, hands-on experience in financial administration, finance, accounting, and cost control.
•    Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently on complex financial models.
•    Strong knowledge of the national and international reporting and accounting standards (IFRS) and local legal standards and requirements.
•    Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
•    Advantage with hands-on SAP experience (BW, FI/CO). Familiarity with SAP SD/MM modules 
•    Proven track record of successfully facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English, any other language will be considered as a plus.
