Job Description – Solution Architect

Role Purpose

The Solution Architect is responsible for translating business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints, defining solution roadmaps, and providing leadership across solution development initiatives. The role ensures solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and progress toward the target state. The architect will also communicate roadmaps, guide teams, and support strategic technology decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate strategic vision into architectural plans by analyzing opportunities, constraints, and solution needs.
  • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain
    solution roadmaps and implementation plans
    .
  • Facilitate stakeholder understanding of business and technology implications, and influence architectural decisions.
  • Convert business and technical requirements into
    architectural blueprints
    and comprehensive documentation.
  • Create architectural designs to guide solution development, ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives.
  • Evaluate, design, and analyze solution implementations for quality and compliance.
  • Provide leadership and architectural support to ensure solutions meet business requirements and adhere to governance standards.
  • Develop and maintain architectural artefacts including
    principles, guidelines, and standards
    .
  • Identify cross-team interdependencies and apply holistic architectural thinking.
  • Provide consulting support to Agile teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Drive continuous improvement, reduce technical debt, and enhance overall business value.
  • Participate in technology evaluation and selection activities to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Coach and guide stakeholders on risks, options, costs, benefits, and priorities.
  • Promote architecture best practices and mentor engineering and delivery teams.
