Neogap Therapeutics AB is currently looking for an early-career manufacturing engineer who can strengthen our Neoantigen Production & Development team, with a focus on the EpiTCer bead product. This will be a permanent position with a six-month probationary period. Occasional evening and weekend work may occur. The primary duties will be to provide operational support to neoantigen production and development tasks, and to assist with facility and equipment maintenance. Support with logistics and processing of patient samples according to GCLP may also sometimes be required. You will report directly to the Head of Neoantigen Production, Development & Clinical processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on laboratory work in EpiTCer bead production facility, according to implemented standard operating procedures (SOPs) and under the guidance of senior scientists. After the training program has been completed, this work is expected to take up most of the working hours
• Provide support to keep the lab clean and organised according to processes defined by the quality management system (QMS)
• Responsibility for designated laboratory equipment, including calibration, maintenance, and qualification activities
• Occasional laboratory work for the Clinical processing part of the team, which will include processing of incoming patient blood and tissue samples, according to GCLP, GDPR, and company policy
• It will be a requirement to stay up to date on SOP implementation
• You will be expected to actively participate in group and full team meetings
• There will be opportunities to participate in R&D projects

Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, the following is mandatory:

• At least 1 years of experience with hands on laboratory work using biotechnological techniques
• A BMA (biomedicinsk analytiker) degree, BSc, or equivalent in laboratory sciences or related field
• A proven track record of working in a laboratory environment in a safe and organised way
• A team player mindset and an open and curious nature. We are a multidisciplinary team with diverse educational backgrounds and see this as one of our biggest strengths
• An efficient and practical approach to assigned tasks
• English proficiency, in both written and oral communication
• Basic Swedish proficiency

It is extra meriting to have:

• GMP experience including working within a QMS
• Experience working aseptically
• Molecular biology and protein production experience
• Experience in bioinformatics and/or with computerised systems in production work
• Previous experience from clinical trials, particularly in the field of cancer
• Fluency in Swedish, in both written and oral communication

Neogap Therapeutics is a Swedish biotech company developing Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products (ATMPs) with a personalised cell therapy product for treatment of cancer currently under clinical trial evaluation. Manufacturing of the product, personalised tumour trained lymphocytes (pTTL), relies on EpiTCer beads, one of Neogap's core technologies, which is a neoantigen-based raw material used to enhance and enrich tumour-specific T cells, thereby restoring their tumour-killing capacity. The main goal of the Neoantigen Production, Development & Clinical Processing team at Neogap is to produce EpiTCer beads for use in clinical pTTL production, as well as for cell therapy R&D purposes. The team is also responsible for further developing and optimising the EpiTCer bead production process.
