Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced
Java Architect
with strong expertise in
enterprise-grade Java applications, microservices architecture
, and
large-scale distributed systems
, with a
mandatory background in eCommerce or Order Management Systems (OMS)
. The ideal candidate combines deep technical design skills with hands-on leadership experience and the ability to work across global delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the
    architecture and design
    of complex
    Java/Spring Boot microservices
    for high-performance digital platforms.
  • Drive technical architecture for
    eCommerce systems or OMS workflows
    , ensuring scalability, reliability, and seamless integration.
  • Create
    High-Level Designs (HLD), sequence diagrams, integration patterns
    , and architectural standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to define end-to-end solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership on:
  • Java/J2EE
  • Spring & Spring Boot
  • RESTful APIs
  • Microservices
  • Cassandra / NoSQL
  • API design & integration
  • Cloud-native patterns
  • Guide teams in implementation, best practices, and code quality across global delivery locations.
  • Participate in performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
  • Contribute to solution roadmaps, modernization initiatives, and architecture governance.
  • Ensure seamless integration with
    eCommerce platforms, payment systems, inventory services
    , or
    OMS order workflows
    .

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years
    of hands-on experience in
    Java/J2EE
    , with strong command of Spring Boot and microservices.
  • Mandatory:
    Experience in
    eCommerce platforms
    (e.g., Hybris, Magento, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud)
    or OMS technologies
    (e.g., Manhattan OMS, IBM Sterling, Oracle OMS).
  • 9+ years
    of expertise in:
  • Java/J2EE core technologies
  • RESTful API design
  • Microservices and distributed systems
  • Cassandra / NoSQL
  • Unix/Linux shell scripting
  • Python (for automation/scripting)
  • 5+ years
    of architecture design, technical leadership, and solution review experience.
  • Experience integrating with third-party systems, ESB platforms (nice to have), payment gateways, catalog services, or order orchestration engines.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • OOP principles
  • Data structures & algorithms
  • Design patterns
  • Scalable cloud-native architecture
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a
    client-facing
    ,
