Data Scientist, Generative AI

Nordnet redefined the financial world as the first digital bank in Europe. Now we are about to do it again—this time by putting AI at the heart of our customer experience. We're taking a new step by establishing the AI Customer Product team to scale Generative AI solutions that help our customers become better savers and investors.

We're searching for a Data Scientist to join Nordnet's AIR (AI & Research) function, working embedded within the AI Customer Product team. Your mission: evolve our existing GenAI capabilities into robust, customer-facing features across our app and web platform.

The Setup

You'll be the second Data Scientist on this new team, working alongside full-stack engineers to tackle the full lifecycle—from exploring possibilities to deploying production features and iterating based on customer impact. Our technical foundation is Google Cloud Platform, where we've already deployed GenAI features serving customers. Now we're scaling what works and developing new capabilities. 

This is not a theoretical role; you're a builder and problem-solver who thrives on iteration. You'll report to our Data Science Manager while working daily with the product squad.

What You'll Do

Develop GenAI solutions that help customers make better investment decisions.

Build production AI pipelines from experimentation through deployment and monitoring.

Collaborate with engineers throughout the development cycle—you'll work together on architecture and implementation in an iterative fashion.

Drive quality through evaluation, metrics, and testing of AI solutions.

Share insights and recommendations with cross-functional stakeholders

Champion AI Governance - Ensure compliance with the bank's regulatory framework by clarifying AI concepts and risks

This is you

You take pride in your work and are driven by curiosity—you want to continuously learn and grow. You want to see your work in customers' hands and enjoy the full spectrum from analysis to production code.

You likely have:

Product experience with LLMs and GenAI.

Python skills for both exploration and production code.

SQL proficiency for data analysis and pipeline building.

Experience with ML/AI in cloud environments (GCP experience is a plus).

Knowledge of ML/AI evaluation, metrics, and best practices.

Experience with pairing, code reviews, and shared problem-solving.

Comfort presenting technical work to diverse audiences.

Interest in finance, investing, or personal finance.

We think that you have 3+ years experience working as a Data Scientist or AI Engineer with a University degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering or similar field.
