At the Accounting function within Finance, you are a part of a global team, with the purpose to ensure correct financial reporting and accounting based on our business events. You co-operate with colleagues in other business units and functions globally, with the purpose to drive value creation, provide accounting expertise and guidance and make change happen.

We are now looking for a Senior accountant to the Financial Accounting team to work with the accounting and reporting of Volvo Personvagnar AB.

Located in Gothenburg, you will be part of the Financial Accounting Team of 12 persons, working primarily with dedicated accounting activities for the legal entity Volvo Car Corporation. You will be responsible for specific month-end closing activities and/or a sub-process. The position also includes activities such as monthly analyses, ad hoc accounting questions, statistical reporting, annual reports, accounting activities for other legal group entities, and interaction/coordination with our external auditors. You will have close interactions with our Group Accounting and Group Tax located in Gothenburg as well as our Global Accounting Centre located in Madrid.

To be successful in this role you should have a strong interest and knowledge in accounting and policies and full ability of applying these in daily operations together with a positive attitude. Your analytic capabilities, problem-solving techniques and digital skills are strong. You possess good business acumen and abilities to grasp the big picture. If you have experience working in SAP R/3, Hyperion FM or OneStream it's an advantage. In addition to the above you have a university degree in Business Administration, 5+ years of relevant working experience and you are fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and written.

Personal qualities as high integrity and ability to uphold standards of professionalism and confidentiality are valued. Ability to handle a dynamic environment under continuous development with short notice situations. Since you will be member of a team and a key contact person, communication and collaboration is key and you pride yourself on being a good communicator and are able to handle different stakeholders. Finally, you drive change and implementation with energy, courage and commitment.
