We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant for our client in Stockholm.

Key responsibilities / deliverables:

  • Prepare and file corporate income tax returns for two countries
  • Prepare and file VAT returns for two countries
  • Review VAT and income tax returns for two countries
  • Handle tax reporting to the SEB Group and contribute to the annual report tax sections
  • Post accounting entries related to tax transactions and payments
  • Perform monthly current and deferred tax calculations, postings, and reconciliations as part of month-end close
  • Liaise with tax authorities and/or external tax advisors across four countries
  • Coordinate with external auditors on tax topics
  • Execute income tax and VAT payments to authorities
  • Perform VAT checks on incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Lead and investigate specific matters related to tax, VAT, and transfer pricing

Requirements:

  • University degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field
  • At least 5 years of practical experience working with tax and VAT as an accountant, auditor, consultant, or similar—preferably within a large consulting firm or an international corporate group. Experience from a financial institution is a strong plus. Solid understanding of accounting principles and consolidated reporting, and how these connect to tax; ability to read and analyze financial statements in a financial-services context
  • Good knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect taxes, and transfer pricing, with a primary focus on Swedish tax legislation
  • Team-oriented, collaborative mindset and ability to support a positive work culture
