Step into the role
MilDef is growing and we are now looking for a Product Manager to help strengthen our product portfolio and support our long-term ambitions. The Product Manager is responsible for managing a defined product family throughout its entire lifecycle, from concept development to phase-out. This role combines technical depth with strategic execution, ensuring that each product aligns with MilDef's overall portfolio strategy and supports business objectives. By providing technical and market insights, preparing business cases, and maintaining the product roadmap, the Product Manager drives product success and contributes to company growth. The position requires balancing commercial acumen with technical expertise, always with a customer-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the lifecycle management of rugged IT hardware products targeting the Defence Sector (from concept to phase-out).
  • Align product strategy with the overall portfolio strategy.
  • Support Sales in opportunity captures, ensuring we are offering the correct solutions.
  • Define and maintain the product roadmap, including generation management.
  • Prepare business cases for new initiatives within the product portfolio.
  • Ensure product execution aligns with the approved portfolio roadmap.
  • Provide technical and market insights to inform portfolio decisions.
  • Focus on technical depth and lifecycle execution to maintain competitiveness and profitability.

  • Proven experience in product management with a strong strategic and business mindset.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of IT hardware and system solutions.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into scalable product features.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and supporting team development.
  • Adaptability to organizational and process changes, with a proactive approach to improving performance.
  • Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
