What we should tell you about the role:

We're looking for a full-stack engineer who moves fast and thrives in high-velocity environments. You're the kind of person who sees a broken workflow, understands the root cause quickly, and ships a fix in hours—not weeks. You love turning ambiguity into working software, and you don't wait around for perfect specs to start building.

You're a generalist who's just as comfortable spinning up a backend service as you are crafting a clean, responsive UI. You sweat the details, but never let them block progress. You think in terms of speed, value, and iteration—always asking: how can we get this in front of users faster?

As one of our earliest engineers, you'll help shape the core product and infrastructure. You'll work closely with design, ML, and actual tax pros to reinvent how this industry works—by shipping fast, learning fast, and doing what others said couldn't be done.

Our product and engineering team is based in Stockholm. We're prioritising local candidates, but will consider candidates from elsewhere in the EU, who can travel to Stockholm.

• If you need a few extra days to perfect your code, chances are there's already a handful of team members blocked behind you.

• We use tools like Cursor to move fast, test ideas in days, and ship extremely fast.

• You'll be operating at the intersection of product logic, machine learning, user psychology, and highly regulated workflows.

• There are no clear answers. Just judgment calls, ambiguity, and constant input from every direction.

• You'll ask yourself, is this really the work? It is. And it's not for everyone.

Your hard skillset:

• Deep experience across backend and frontend systems

• Fluency in TypeScript, Python, or similar modern stacks

• Comfortable with infra, APIs, databases, and debugging messy edge cases

• Bonus if you've used AI tools to accelerate development

• Even bigger bonus if you've worked in regulated or high-trust domains

Growth and Levels:

We operate on six levels, from Level 1 to Level 6. Each reflects increasing ownership, impact, and scope with meaningful jumps in salary and equity.

We review levels every 4 months. Promotions are based on output and ownership, not tenure.

This isn't a comfy engineering role. It's fast, focused, and customer-obsessed.
