At our R&D office we have 150+ people building everything from circuit boards, metal frames and mechanics to algorithms, image processing, apps, and games. Our development spans from nuts and bolts to the cloud and 3D games. We develop our own cameras, design electronics, and create experiences that blend physical interaction with digital interfaces.

In this role, you'll have the chance to work across that full spectrum. This gives you the chance to influence the whole product development process - from idea to execution - and not just the implementation. Join an experienced team that influences infrastructure, hardware, software, and system design—without owning production code.

We're looking for a Technical Leader to own the architecture and technical strategy of the infrastructure platform that enables our global sports-tech system, deployed in thousands of locations worldwide. Our system powers high-performance golf ball tracking using custom cameras, embedded compute, edge servers, and cloud-connected infrastructure.

You will lead the architecture and integration of hardware components from external vendors with our in-house developed software and hardware systems. These systems must perform consistently in real-world environments that are often unpredictable and beyond our control

POSSIBILITIES

• Define and maintain technical architecture and integration strategy for third-party hardware.
• Ensure vendor systems meet requirements for environmental robustness and software compatibility.
• Align configuration, monitoring, and deployment models across edge components.
• Shape how we build and scale installations ("sites") as reliable, networked systems in the field.
• Influence infrastructure, software configuration, and system design—without writing production code.

WE BELIEVE YOU HAVE

• Background in embedded or hardware-near system design and architecture.
• Experience working with Linux environments.
• Past experience as a developer working in an agile environment using iterative approaches.
• Hands-on experience with field-deployed systems involving complex interactions between networking, computing, and interface components.
• Proven ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and vendors.
• Skilled in balancing cost, durability, and complexity in system integration.
• Strong communication skills and a structured, clarity-driven approach.
• Experience working with hardware vendors and manufacturers, from specification to validation.

Bonus competencies

Experience evaluating trade-offs between embedded, FPGA-based, and general-purpose computing with cost-efficiency and reliability in mind.
