Engineering Manager

Job Mission

As an Engineering Manager at Tibber, you will help level up our Commercial Engineering team by applying servant leadership, a customer first perspective and creativity to the problems we are solving together. You will support engineers by being their closest manager, teams by being an active part in their day-to-day work, and our product peers in planning, scoping and executing on new, smart (and pretty damn cool) tech.

What You'll Do

• You will be a port of calm for your team
• guiding them through the ups and downs of product development, coach and mentor them in their career and provide them with continuous feedback.
• Be a partner-in-crime
  with stakeholders, product managers and designers, and together with them ensure a healthy backlog, priorities and workload.
• Build and champion an inclusive, transparent and fun engineering culture.
• Work together
  with other engineering managers and leaders to ensure sleek but useful ways of working, a healthy tech stack and fair and transparent feedback throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle.

What We're Looking For

• You enjoy technical facilitation and making things happen
• whether it's architectural alignment or even contributing to the solution yourself (code-wise, designing ways of working or something else).
• You thrive when developing great people
  , not just great tech and products.
• You care about the engineering experience
  , agile software practices and conscious experimentation.
• You have a strong engineering background
  and keep yourself familiar with industry trends and product offerings, being able to balance trade-offs between solutions and ways forward. Given the size of the team, you will be expected to contribute with both code and leadership.
• You are seasoned in stakeholder management
• adapting language and message to context and recipients.
• You embrace failure as an opportunity for learning and improvement.
