Project Manager, Business Transformation (Technical Communication)

A leading company in the manufacturing industry is looking for an experienced Project Manager to drive a large-scale business transformation initiative within the Technical Communication domain. The role focuses on managing complex technical environments, cross-functional collaboration, and the successful rollout of new processes, tools, and ways of working.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership

Coordinate and deliver a full business transformation project within Technical Communication.

Manage planning, execution, governance, risk, issue handling, documentation, budgets, and dependencies according to established methodologies.

Ensure consistent progress toward timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Stakeholder Management

Engage and align stakeholders across manufacturing, central functions, and technical communication teams.

Facilitate communication across regions and ensure adoption across the organization.

Team Coordination

Coordinate IT, tool development, and business representatives.

Clarify responsibilities, deliverables, and priorities for all team members.

Support problem-solving and structured decision-making.

Change Management

Lead organizational change tied to new systems, processes, and ways of working.

Develop communication and engagement plans to secure clarity and adoption.

Prepare teams and departments for transition.

Technical Expertise

Strong understanding of technical documentation environments, including structured content, templates, document types, metadata governance, translation workflows, CMS environments, XML-based authoring and content management, and SAP equipment structures.

Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and act as a bridge between business and IT.

Understanding of the relationship between knowledge management and technical documentation.
