There is now an open position for a Project Manager - Quality Assurance with location and workplace at Axis' HQ in Lund, Sweden.

As a Project Manager, you will play a central role in guiding and shaping the long-term test strategy for AXIS OS, our Linux-based operating system. You'll coordinate with a broad network of stakeholders, safeguard the quality of our software releases, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Who is your future team? 

AXIS OS Release Test team is a highly skilled and motivated team with a mix of both junior and senior team members. Our strength lies not only in the individual competence of each team member but also in the open working environment and strong, prestigeless collaboration within our team. We currently have two Project Manager roles in QA, and this position is one of them.

Axis OS Release Test is part of the R&D Quality Assurance organization, which includes around 300 people in 20 teams across five departments. We maintain a close-knit culture both within the team and across the department, and we are highly committed to continuously improve our ways of working and testing processes.

What you'll do as a Project Manager 

As a Project Manager, you will work in one of Sweden's largest test organizations where quality is highly valued and where you can develop your skills through collaboration with experienced colleagues. You will take a central role in planning, executing, and monitoring the AXIS OS releases. You will work closely with development teams, QA engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to secure that testing strategies, processes, and tools are working well. In this role, you ensure that quality is built into every step of the development lifecycle.

Your main responsibilities include:

• You lead and coordinate a dynamic test team of up to 15 engineers in Lund. With an engaging leadership style, you motivate the team, offer guidance, strengthen collaboration, and keep the energy high. In your day-to-day work, you oversee the team's progress while planning and prioritizing their tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• You oversee all daily testing operations, including ensuring the quality of the active software releases for more than 200 products. As a Project Manager, you are also accountable for delivering test results to the Program Manager within agreed timelines.
• Typical tasks include leading and planning test execution, monitoring and reporting test status to all relevant stakeholders, prioritizing defect reports, and planning retesting of implemented fixes.
• You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to refine our testing processes, tools, and ways of working. By working on improvement initiatives, you help ensure that we evolve and become more efficient over time.

Who are we looking for? 

You are a supportive, curious, and positive project manager who enjoys collaborating across organizational boundaries. You bring experience from test lead or other leading roles. You are genuinely passionate about technology and test. You care deeply about software quality and take pride in ensuring that the work meets high standards.

 We'd love to hear that you have:  

• A relevant university degree (minimum B.Sc.) 
• Several years of experience in test management
• A passion for test
• Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills 
• Proven leadership skills
