About the job

For Mining and our IT organization, we're looking for an experienced Head of IT Infrastructure Services. Someone who is ready to be a central player in our truly international team across the globe – team in general responsible for the IT infrastructure services within our Business Area Sandvik Mining. The position is permanent, full-time, and located in Tampere (Finland), Stockholm (Sweden) or Sandviken (Sweden). Global travel is included in your job, although we are even more digital than before the pandemic in our ways of working.

About you and your background

We're looking for a confident and collaborative leader, with the ability to set a successful strategy and deliver on the same. You have deep experience in the field of IT – such as IT management, IT project management, IT infrastructure services, cloud technologies – and you're skilled in driving change in a global context. A master's degree in computer science or similar is required, and as we're present across the globe, you have excellent communication skills in English and are experienced when it comes to remote, indirect, and cross-cultural leadership.

It's key that you can establish structure, gain trust, and create strong relationships, and that's why your personal qualities are very important to us. You have an innovative mindset and like both to challenge us and to be challenged - always committed to making things happen in a flexible, yet decisive manner. You're also very tactical and clearly communicate the purpose of our activities to ensure team spirit and a positive impact.
