Senior Commercial Business Controller

Are you passionate about turning insights into action and shaping the commercial direction of a fast-growing company? We're looking for a Senior Commercial Business Controller to be a key partner to our Commercial Director and leadership team – driving data-driven decisions and business improvements across our markets.

What you'll do
You'll join a passionate team that combines commercial thinking with operational excellence to deliver outstanding value for both merchants and consumers. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the organization – perfect for someone who is obsessed with numbers, commercially driven, and eager to play an active role in shaping our next phase of growth.

Act as the financial sparring partner for the Commercial Director, providing proactive analyses, insights, and recommendations that guide strategic and tactical decisions.

Translate commercial performance data into clear business actions – identifying growth opportunities, pricing optimizations, and profitability improvements.

Be obsessed with numbers – constantly digging into data to understand trends, drivers, and root causes behind performance. You spot anomalies before anyone else and turn numbers into actionable insights.

Work closely with Key Account Managers and Account Managers as well as the commercial team to support negotiations, evaluate customer profitability, and challenge assumptions with facts and insights.

Lead key initiatives around forecasting, pricing strategy, customer segmentation, and business performance tracking.

Build and continuously improve our commercial reporting and performance models, ensuring we make fast and informed decisions.

Who you are

This role requires seniority and relevant experience to confidently handle a business that represents a significant share of the company's total revenue.

You have therefor several years of experience from a senior business control or commercial finance role, ideally within a data-driven or growth-oriented company.

You are highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a genuine love for numbers and a drive to understand what's really behind them.

Strong business acumen and a genuine interest in commercial strategy and business development.

Excellent analytical and communication skills – you can turn complex data into clear business stories and influence decisions at all levels.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you're close to the business and can see your work make real impact.

Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools skills; experience with SQL or similar is a plus.
