Join Equinix as a
Technical Expert
and play a key role in driving
engineering excellence and infrastructure upgrades
across our mission-critical data centers. This is
not a day-to-day maintenance position
—our team leads strategic projects that enhance reliability, efficiency, and innovation within our IBX facilities.

You'll work on high-impact initiatives such as:

• Procurement & replacement of end-of-life chillers – complete project management from planning to execution.
• Implementation of new leak detection systems – contractor coordination and budget oversight.
• Complete zone refurbishments – managing budgets, vendors, and customer interactions.

This role is ideal for professionals who thrive on complex problem-solving, project ownership, and collaboration with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Manage large-scale infrastructure upgrade projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to global standards.
• Technical Expertise: Validate design criteria for new principal power installations and contribute to design improvements.
• Strategic Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams and external partners, influencing decisions and advising on technical matters.
• Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into critical component failures and develop innovative solutions.
• Compliance & Quality: Ensure all work meets manufacturer guidelines and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Strong background in engineering or technical operations within mission-critical environments.
• Proven experience in project management, vendor coordination, and budget control.
• Ability to adapt and influence across diverse stakeholders.

• Typically requires:

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, OR

• Master's degree with 3+ years, OR
• Equivalent work experience.
