Role description
We are looking for a collaborative and hands-on senior Azure specialist to lead Azure-based platform initiatives with a strong focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM). In this role, you will drive architectural discussions, shape integration approaches and bring structure to a complex, fast-moving environment. You are expected to make clear, well-founded decisions, guide teams in solid technical practices and support the organization throughout a broad cloud transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Azure infrastructure and IAM capabilities in close collaboration with platform owners, architects, cloud specialists and other stakeholders.

  • Steer architectural discussions and define target architectures, integration patterns and platform principles for the Azure environment.

  • Contribute to the setup of a new Azure tenant, including onboarding of core platforms and introduction of new services as the environment evolves.

  • Define and improve access processes for external partners to ensure secure, smooth and scalable collaboration.

  • Anticipate future infrastructure and IAM needs, identify risks and propose mitigations from both a technical and process perspective.

  • Provide an external, objective perspective that strengthens ways of working, transition planning and long-term scalability of the platform.

  • Support teams in adopting sound technical practices, including governance, security, documentation and alignment with overall cloud strategy.

  • Make well-grounded decisions and give direction even when information is incomplete or conditions are unclear.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud platform architectures.

  • Strong expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM) in Azure-focused environments.

  • Solid background in designing and leading cloud platform initiatives in complex organizations.

  • Proven ability to work methodically and proactively in high-tempo, change-intensive settings.

  • Demonstrated experience making clear, well-reasoned decisions with incomplete information.

  • Ability to provide direction and structure when conditions are ambiguous and challenges are complex.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience collaborating with platform owners, architects and technical specialists.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience from large-scale cloud transformations in enterprise environments.

  • Experience setting up or restructuring Azure tenants, including onboarding of multiple platforms and services.

  • Background in establishing or refining cloud governance, security models and access processes for external partners.

  • Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams within cloud, infrastructure or platform domains.
