About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Platform & API team, focusing on building and maintaining the infrastructure, core systems, and our public API product that will enable scalability and success across all teams and features within 360Player.

In this role, you will work on internal tooling, API design, building a world-class public API to open up the 360Player ecosystem, and backend infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability for our growing platform. You will collaborate closely with other backend engineers and cross-functional teams to build the foundations that allow our feature teams to move efficiently and reliably.

This role will give you the opportunity to shape technical decisions, mentor team members, and work on challenges related to performance optimization, system design, and scalability as we expand globally and open up our ecosystem for external developers and partners.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain core backend services and APIs that support all areas of the 360Player platform, including our public API product.
• Develop internal tools to improve developer workflows, system monitoring, and support the external developer ecosystem. 
• Work on database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to support efficient feature delivery and ensure the API meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to architecture discussions to ensure system scalability, stability, and a world-class developer experience.
• Support integrations with third-party systems when required.
• Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to other developers.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements and drive initiatives to implement them, aligning with the goal of building a world-class public API that opens up the 360Player ecosystem.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Go (Golang) or strong experience in another language with the willingness to work in Go.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL performance optimization.
• Experience with API design and building robust backend systems.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (preferably Azure).
• Solid understanding of system performance, scalability, and clean code practices.
• Comfortable collaborating with engineers and stakeholders across teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work proactively.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
