Senior Backend Engineer

As part of their mission to enrich people's lives through storytelling, our client is expanding their Web team in Stockholm — the team responsible for connecting new audiences through engaging user experiences, acquisition, and subscription services. They're now looking for a
Senior Backend Engineer
to take ownership of backend architecture, scalability, and key integrations that power their growth and subscription platform.

What You'll Do

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices in .NET.
  • Architect scalable, reliable, and secure systems that support the company's web platform.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, frontend engineers, and other internal teams.
  • Take ownership of features end-to-end: from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
  • Refactor legacy components for improved clarity, stability, and maintainability.
  • Support and mentor peers, contributing to a culture of high engineering standards.

What You Bring

You're a backend engineer who enjoys building real product impact through thoughtful code and structured, collaborative work. You're comfortable taking initiative and leading projects from concept to completion.

  • Senior-level experience in backend development (C# / .NET preferred).
  • Strong background in building scalable, secure, and performant services.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, MS SQL, and Redis.
  • Solid understanding of microservice architecture and observability practices.
  • Experience integrating external systems (e.g., payments, verification).
  • Product-aware mindset with the ability to balance technical and business needs.
  • Bonus: experience mentoring others or working within SaaS environments.
