About the Role
Mojang Studios is seeking a dedicated Quality Lead to champion the quality of our globally renowned games. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our cross-functional teams of producers, developers, designers, and content creators. Your mission is to collaborate with engineering teams to create and execute on comprehensive quality strategies that inspire confidence in every feature and ensure our games are ready for players worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with studios development teams to advocate for a culture of quality.
• Serve as the advocate for quality across all studio titles, maintaining deep knowledge of our game portfolio and emerging projects.
• Build and maintain a Community of Practice for Quality within the studio, facilitating communication, sharing best practices, and identifying opportunities for collaboration.
• Collaborate with engineering managers to build and execute a holistic quality strategy which includes leveraging automation, telemetry, and manual test coverage to build in and maintain quality for our products.
• Collaborate with other Quality leaders to align on a quality strategy and initiative roadmap, and facilitate communication between the Redmond and Stockholm based Quality teams.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Quality Engineers, fostering their growth through coaching and setting clear development objectives.

What you'll need to succeed
Required Qualifications:

• At least 6 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or a related field within the gaming industry.
• Experienced in quality ownership of large or complex features or products over multiple release cycles.
• 3+ years of people management experience leading quality teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leveraging data visualizations, including bug data, test passes, and player telemetry, to assess quality.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of Minecraft is a plus

About this role:
This is a full-time role based in Stockholm with a hybrid remote working model. You'll collaborate with our studio colleagues in Redmond, USA, and across various disciplines. This position sometimes has off hour meetings mainly with West coast USA representatives. Please note that we are only able to consider applications from candidates currently residing within Sweden.
