We are looking for an experienced
Business Analyst
to join the energy trading division of a leading European energy company. You will be part of a high-performing Business Analyst team working across complex, cross-functional projects that span multiple agile development teams and business areas.

In this role, you will support the organization's trading operations by analyzing business needs, defining high-level requirements, and ensuring that system development aligns with strategic goals. You will work in a global environment, collaborating closely with stakeholders across the Nordics and Continental Europe. The initial focus will be on the
Dutch and German energy markets
, making experience from these regions highly valuable.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in Energy Trading, who enjoys translating business challenges into clear, structured requirements—while navigating a dynamic and data-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct stakeholder analysis and create engagement plans.
• Lead interviews, workshops, and document analysis to capture business needs.
• Define and document business requirements, objectives, and success criteria.
• Create process flows, use cases, and data models.
• Classify and prioritise requirements (business, stakeholder, solution, transition).
• Ensure requirements traceability to business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams to support solution design and development.
• Manage requirement changes, including impact assessments and documentation.
• Facilitate communication between business and IT stakeholders.
• Support test case development and validate solutions through requirements-based testing.
• Stay up to date with regulatory, technical and market developments in relevant energy markets.

Job requirements
To be successful in this role, we see that you have:

• 5+ years of experience as a
  Business Analyst
  , ideally in large or complex environments.
• Strong background in
  Energy Trading
  , especially within intraday markets, balancing market access and congestion services
• Experience working with both
  Nordic
  and
  Continental (NL/DE)
  energy markets.
• Good understanding of
  ETRM systems
  (any platform).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complexity into structured documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

It's not a must, but considered a plus if you have:

• Experience with Endur.
• Previous experience from energy companies
• Swedish language skills.
• University degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
