Background
In the final stage of our production process, many of our internal flows converge together with purchased components to be consolidated and assembled.
This process often creates significant logistical challenges, where materials need to be coordinated ad-hoc or operations are forced to start with shortages.
Description Of The Master Thesis
This Master Thesis aims at streamlining material flow for smarter production.
To achieve a smarter production, we need to find more effective ways to manage and align our material flows. In short, we need to better align design, production, and planning interfaces to uncover opportunities for improvement.
You will belong to a group of production engineers working with everything from cables to large system installations. The group's main purpose is to be the link between design and production, with tasks consisting of creating routings, handling non conformative reports and being second line support for production. Our aim is to transform to a more proactive way of working and this is where this master thesis would make a difference.
Your profile
This Master Thesis is suitable for 2 with interest in production processes and flows. You are at the end of your education within Production Engineering/ Quality & Operations management / Supply Chain Management or equivalent, and about to start your Master Thesis work for 30 HP.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
