The Find My team is looking for an experienced lead software engineer who is equally passionate about software development and software quality. Description
As the lead engineer, your responsibilities will include working closely with our vendors to staff both the developer and QE teams, act as the technical point of contact for contractors, take ownership of problems and deliverables, lead quality engineering efforts, and organize engineering tasks to deliver the next generation of Find My features. You will be working closely with multi-functional teams, across several continents, to optimally coordinate the sophisticated interdependencies inherent to our ecosystem. Creative thinking, strong problem solving, excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other multi-functional teams in a dynamic setting are meaningful attributes which will serve you well in this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive the work of a team of remarkably skilled software engineers
- Be a strong advocate for the customer experience
- Take ownership of solving problems and deliver solutions on time
- Communicate and coordinate with teams and stakeholders in the US
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Assist with various team and system support needs
Assist in staffing requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to take ownership, identify requirements, prioritise and make progress in an environment with limited given input.
- Very strong in leading others and hands-on, in programming, system design and problem solving
- Strong Swift expertise - including but not limited to: Multithreading, non-blocking IO
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies including triaging, debugging, automating, testing
- Experience driving release decisions, scoping work, and driving bug convergence Creating innovative ways to automate and expand our software testing
- Experience in cross team collaboration and communication across multiple timezones
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of common data structures and basic graph algorithms and hands on experience writing strong object-oriented code including creating automation frameworks and test scripts for large scale testing scenarios
- Experience in C, C++ and working knowledge of cryptography standards and protocols (e.g.. PKCS, KMIP, X.509, AES, KDF, CA)
- Experience in collaborating with distributed engineering teams
Experience in the AI/ML domain
