About Sveriges Riksbank

Sveriges Riksbank is the central bank of Sweden, responsible for maintaining a stable economy and low inflation. Our research division plays a crucial role in informing our monetary policy decisions.

As a Visiting Research Economist, you will be part of our dynamic team that conducts research in areas of importance to central banking. Your primary goal will be to produce high-quality research for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

We welcome applications from senior researchers with at least three years' experience and a solid publication record in their field. Junior candidates who have obtained a PhD in economics, statistics or finance, or are close to doing so, are also encouraged to apply.

The working languages at the Research Division are English and Swedish. Proficiency in Swedish is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in areas of importance to central banking
  • Produce high-quality research for publication in peer-reviewed journals
  • Give support and advice to policy departments and the Executive Board

Requirements

  • PhD in economics, statistics or finance
  • At least three years' experience in research
  • Publication record in their field
