We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety and ATEX Specialist to join our team at Northvolt in Västerås. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our employees, assets, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fire Protection and Emergency Response: Develop and implement effective fire protection strategies, ensuring compliance with Local Building Regulations and Emergency Services Organisation (LSO) requirements.
  • ATEX Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact for ATEX regulations, ensuring operational and strategic compliance, and staying informed on relevant external changes.
  • Legislation and Compliance: Ensure our processes align with legal requirements and continuously improve practices within your scope.
  • Training and Development: Provide training for managers and employees on fire safety and ATEX regulations.
  • Technical Advisory and Inspections: Advise on technical fire protection installations and conduct inspections for new constructions and renovations, handling insurance matters and enhancing loss prevention efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Safety, Chemistry, or Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
  • Proven experience in fire safety management and ATEX compliance
  • Industry or rescue service experience within fire, damage prevention, and crisis management
  • Excellent English and Swedish written and oral skills
  • Driver's license B

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry
  • Experience from a multi-cultural environment
