As a Lead Solar Energy Consultant, you will serve as a key advisor, delivering expert guidance to our clients and assisting them in accelerating their transition towards a sustainable energy landscape.

Your role will encompass all stages of the solar photovoltaic (PV) project lifecycle, from initial development and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) of development portfolios to project financing, construction oversight, operational management, and eventual decommissioning.

Your exceptional networking abilities will enable you to engage with professionals both within DNV and externally, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and insights to better comprehend the challenges our clients encounter. Throughout your daily responsibilities, you will pinpoint opportunities, propose solutions for clients, and engage in contract bidding. Contributing to business growth, project oversight, and service innovation will be essential aspects of your position, providing you with the chance to enhance existing services and introduce new initiatives.

As an integral member of the Solar & Battery Storage division, you will collaborate closely with seasoned Consultants and Specialists from various teams across the region and globally. This teamwork will empower you to utilize the company's extensive networks to expand the energy advisory business and ensure high-quality project execution.

Your key responsibilities as a Solar Energy Consultant include:

Identifying new business opportunities, crafting tailored solutions for clients, and participating in contract bidding. Overseeing projects across multiple areas of expertise. Conducting risk evaluations for technical due diligence on pre-construction and operational projects, which includes data analysis, documentation assessment, contract evaluation, design and technology review, and energy production analysis. Performing market research and bankability evaluations. Executing technical inspections, monitoring construction progress, and providing approvals for financial drawdowns.

To be a successful candidate, you should possess:

A minimum of five years of experience in the solar industry, ideally within consultancy or engineering firms. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in solar/renewable energy, engineering, electrical engineering, statistics, atmospheric science, mathematics, physics, or a related field. Experience managing Solar PV Plants in European regions. Proficiency in English and Swedish. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed. A valid driver's license is required.
