About the JobWe are currently seeking a PhD student in fluid mechanics to develop and apply state-of-the-art numerical codes to study transport processes in both laminar and turbulent flows containing two or more fluid phases. The candidate will work closely with a strong community of researchers engaged in fundamental and applied research in fluid mechanics within the department.
This project uses computational fluid mechanics to understand how complex surfaces—whether rough, porous, or lubricated—can be used to control transport processes. This could lead to technological advancements in several sectors, including energy, health, and engineering.
As part of LUBFLOW, funded by the European Research Council (ERC), this project offers a unique opportunity for researchers to contribute to innovative solutions in fluid dynamics.
Responsibilities- Develop and apply state-of-the-art numerical codes to study transport processes in fluid flows.
