Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new functionality and maintaining existing features in COMSOL Multiphysics' fluid flow and heat transfer modules. They will also contribute to marketing plans and support global sales efforts. Occasional travel to Europe, Asia, and the U.S. is expected to support the sales and marketing organization.

Requirements

We are looking for individuals with a strong interest in mathematical modeling, computational physics, and software development. Applicants should have:

  • A Ph.D. in engineering, physical sciences, or applied mathematics, specializing in fluid mechanics

The ideal candidate should have expertise in:

  • Turbulent flow
  • Multiphase flow
  • Flow in rotating machinery
  • Nonisothermal flow
  • Reacting flow

Experience with COMSOL Multiphysics and knowledge of object-oriented programming are advantageous. Additionally, familiarity with asymptotic methods for solving nonlinear partial differential equations is beneficial for developing new applications and validating simulation results.
