We are now seeking a senior developer who has a burning interest in system development and wants to make a difference by working on the development of critical IT systems.

Our Organization

Läkemedelsverket's IT department consists of around 100 engaged employees with different backgrounds and competencies who together take a holistic approach to the agency's IT needs. We participate in the entire lifecycle from idea, architecture & design, development, testing & deployment, maintenance & incident handling, and user support. We continuously develop our work methods, technology, and tools as well as our collaboration within teams and with the organization to deliver accessible, stable, and secure IT support.

Your Responsibilities

You will work on new development, further development, and maintenance of the agency's IT systems. System development is done independently, but at suitable times also through pair/mob programming where you contribute your experience and technical skills. For backend functionality programming, we use.Net, and for automated testing, we use Cypress and MSTest. For frontend functionality programming, we use Angular. In addition to system development, you are involved in the entire development chain from requirement work to testing and deployment.

You are part of an experienced development team together with other system developers, requirement handlers, and testers. Your team has close collaboration with other groups within the IT department and often directly with users in Läkemedelsverket's core business.

Your Background

We are looking for you who have a higher education in IT or equivalent and have several years of experience in system development in.Net. We would like you to have a frontend profile, although the starting point is to help where it is needed most. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have worked with XP methods such as automated testing, test-driven development, or CI/CD. It is also an advantage to have database experience, as Läkemedelsverket often uses Oracle and ElasticSearch. We use Git for version control and Microsoft Azure DevOps for CI/CD, so experience with these is also an advantage. If you have contributed to Open Source projects, we see that as a plus. The same applies if you have developed on your own in GitHub repositories or similar outside of studies or work and can show it.

Furthermore, you are creative, want to work in an agile team, and are keen to create and maintain good relationships that are important for your work.
