Job Title: Senior Level Designer

Job Summary:

Zenimax is seeking a highly skilled Senior Level Designer to join our team. As a Senior Level Designer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining level design documentation, interpreting and implementing gameplay and narrative ambitions, and controlling accessibility and difficulty of levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining level design documentation, including walkthroughs, mission documents, and layout diagrams.
  • Interpret and implement the desired gameplay and narrative ambitions in levels.
  • Control the accessibility, understanding, and difficulty of levels.
  • Work with all disciplines to ensure that ongoing level design supports the product's design, art, technical requirements, and narrative.
  • Prototype environments, establish layouts, and use interactive and non-interactive means to focus on pacing, narrative integration, and flow.
  • Monitor level construction metrics and help ensure they are communicated and respected from the initial blockout phase through to the final build.
  • Attend playtests, seek and provide feedback, and be solution-oriented to problems encountered.

Requirements:

  • Experience from at least one full production cycle in a Senior role capacity.
  • Fluency in basic software such as word processing, spreadsheets, flowchart makers, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of level editing tools and scripting languages.
  • Capability of presenting design ideas and solutions to a live audience.
  • Able to write clear, concise documentation in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Portfolio showcasing skills relevant to the position.
