About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Director to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for securing and retaining business for our clinical research services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead RFP strategy calls and develop client proposals to position our company as a primary or preferred provider for clinical development work.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the clinical research industry.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cold calls and client visits.
- Collaborate with our clinical development teams to ensure successful implementation of our services.
- Monitor market trends and gather data on marketing trends and driven products/services and pricing.
- Ensure client satisfaction through regular communication and address any client dissatisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and skills.
- Extensive senior-level sales experience in the clinical/CRO/laboratory services markets.
- Proven track record of developing mid- and high-level business contacts.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads, making professional presentations, managing the sales process through close, and handling all aspects of contract negotiations.
- Excellent social skills to manage and integrate with operations, finance, and marketing teams.
- Understanding of sales automation systems and Microsoft Office programs.
- Advanced level of business English; additional European languages an advantage.
