Business Controller

ST1 Refinery AB is a leading energy company in the Nordic region, committed to driving the energy transition and becoming the leading producer and seller of CO2-aware energy. We are now seeking a highly skilled Business Controller to join our team in Göteborg.
About the RoleThe Business Controller will be responsible for providing economic analysis and follow-up within one or more business areas within the ST1 Group. The role involves working closely with the business and other controllers in Göteborg, as well as being part of the finance team based in Stockholm.
Key Responsibilities- Be a proactive and driven partner to the business
- Management reporting
- Independently responsible for and responsible for maintaining budget and forecast work
- Follow-up and analysis of costs and relevant KPIs
- Support and follow-up of CAPEX projects
- Together with the business, drive cost control and develop actions to achieve set goals
- Reporting to authorities, such as energy, environment, investment, and emissions allowances
- Participate in projects and improvement work related to processes and policies
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a business-oriented mindset and a structured approach to work. You will be a team player with good communication skills, but also be comfortable taking the initiative, making decisions, and working independently.
You will be analytically inclined and driven by the desire to contribute and create value for the business through accurate analyses and thorough follow-up of business results. You will have a commercial mindset and be able to present financial data in a clear and concise manner. You will also be proficient in Excel and have the ability to collect and structure data from various sources and delve deeper into these.
You should have a higher education in economics and at least five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing company. Good knowledge of English is a requirement.
About ST1 Refinery ABWe are a Nordic energy company that wants to be part of the energy transition and our vision is to become the leading producer and seller of CO2-aware energy. For our operations in Sweden, we follow Sweden's climate goals, which means that we must have net-zero emissions by 2045. Our refinery in Göteborg has around 270 employees with experts and specialists in the process industry with production and maintenance of the plant. The refinery is operational 24/7, 365 days a year. We invest heavily in biogas and are also driving two large projects to produce advanced biofuels and electricity for aviation. We recently started our first green plant producing biodiesel and are also building a solar park in Göteborg.
