TN Sweden is seeking a dynamic Director of Stakeholder Relations to lead teams dedicated to developing and delivering comprehensive communication strategies for clients in the Nordic region. This role requires a robust understanding of corporate strategy and communications, with a proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with high-level clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of working in an advisory role within corporate or consulting experience advising corporate clients, with 8+ years of relevant professional experience. They will possess a deep understanding of business and corporate, with firsthand experience handling highly topical issues, and an extensive network from which to draw intelligence.

As a Director of Stakeholder Relations, you will lead on the development and delivery of strategic communications plans, providing senior-level advice to a broad range of clients. You will develop and land regular proactive ideas for clients, advising on critical issues impacting influential businesses and playing a leading role as day-to-day point of contact.

Our Expertise in the Nordic Region
  • We provide counsel and stakeholder relations support to companies, institutions, and organisations in the Nordics, crafting bespoke communication strategies to enhance reputation, promote stakeholder engagement, and ensure consistent messaging.
  • We help our clients navigate challenging situations with effective communication approaches that safeguard reputation and public confidence, ensuring transparency and mitigating potential issues.
  • We aid in navigating and communicating the largest and most complex mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and other corporate transactions in the Nordic region.
  • We support Nordic businesses in their sustainability and corporate social responsibility initiatives, offering strategic advice and communication solutions to effectively share these efforts with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to meet the needs of clients in the Nordic region.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior client contacts to deliver strategic advice and services.
  • Lead large, complex account teams, providing strategic direction and overall accountability.
  • Actively engage with internal and external networks to identify opportunities and insights that benefit clients.
  • Manage sensitive and complex media and/or regulatory issues on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with various client and pitch teams, serving as a regional practice group/sector expert for other geographies and specialist offers.
  • Apply deep knowledge of corporate to promote new business approaches and ideas that benefit clients.
  • Identify new opportunities to deliver additional services to clients; actively pursue and secure extensions of client relationships.
  • Provide leadership on teams, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality work products.
  • Foster the development of team members' skills and serve as a development mentor for junior colleagues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
  • A strong track record working in an advisory role within corporate or consulting experience advising corporate clients.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Deep understanding of business and corporate, with firsthand experience handling highly topical issues, and an extensive network from which to draw intelligence.
  • An understanding of the interplay between corporates, the financial community, the political and regulatory arena, and social stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of corporate positioning, and how to develop strategies that can translate into programs with real sustained impact.
  • Experience in media-handling, with extensive knowledge of the corporate media landscape, would be highly beneficial.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a commercial, self-starting, and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience advising senior business leaders with efficacy and diplomacy.
  • Ability to connect with and leverage the skills and expertise of colleagues, to deliver the best possible advice, campaigns, and programs to clients.
  • A strong verbal and written communicator with high EQ levels and an engaging presentation style.
  • A global perspective and experience working with international businesses or organisations.
  • A balance of creative and analytical thinking, bringing rigor, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • A natural team-worker who prefers to work in a collegiate way.
