About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at Northvolt ETT AB. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track preventive maintenance performance, resource utilization, and work order completion to optimize equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.
  2. Shift Production Meetings: Attend regular shift production meetings to ensure alignment with production goals and objectives.
  3. Work Schedule Development: Develop and oversee the implementation of weekly work schedules to ensure effective resource allocation and task prioritization.
  4. Maintenance Supervision: Supervise all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities related to manufacturing process equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead a team of 6-12 Shift Technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
  6. Production Support: Assist in covering production operations on weekends and during off-peak hours to ensure seamless production continuity.
  7. Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Foster a collaborative work environment by leading problem-solving initiatives within the team and across functional areas, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  8. Tool and Spare Parts Management: Identify special tool requirements and inform supervisors, as well as identify gaps in spare parts availability and document recommendations for improvement.
  9. Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks as required, ensuring prompt resolution of issues to minimize downtime.
  10. Data Collection and Reporting: Collect and present data to team leaders, supervisors, and engineers to inform decision-making and drive process improvements.
  11. Workload Allocation and Absence Management: Allocate workload within the team and report absences to ensure effective resource management and minimize disruptions.
  12. Escalation and Communication: Communicate with supervisors or managers on all necessary escalation issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing impact on production.
  13. Logbook and Skill Matrix Management: Manage the logbook and skill matrix for your team, ensuring accurate records and up-to-date information.
Requirements
  1. Leadership Experience: Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  2. Performance Metrics Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of performance metrics, including preventive maintenance performance, resource utilization, and work order completion.
  3. Technical Skills: Good PC skills, with proficiency in relevant software applications and systems.
  4. Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  5. Organizational and Time-Management Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Decision-Making Skills: Decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive process improvements.
