We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Environment Electrical/Mechanical Technician to join our team at Microsoft Data Center - Gavle. As a key member of our Cloud Operations & Innovation team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our data centers and ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced tasks independently in one major area of CE operations, such as electrical, mechanical, or controls.
- Inspect and supervise critical environment-related facility equipment, including HVAC, mechanical systems, and building infrastructure, to identify and escalate potential issues.
- Utilize our internal CMMS to track equipment assets and complete work orders for maintenance work.
- Respond to and lead onsite incident response teams for abnormal conditions, coordinating with other critical facilities professionals to perform corrective repairs.
- Develop and enhance emergency operating procedures, methods of procedure, and standard operating procedures in relation to CE operations and incidents.
- Perform various types of maintenance and repairs, following established procedures and escalating when necessary.
- Provide consultation to lower-level colleagues on troubleshooting systems and problems.
- Ensure safety and security requirements are met, including job hazard assessments, environmental health and safety, and toolbox talks.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Experience in mission-critical services work or equivalent applied learning experience.
- Ability to work shifts, including non-standard business hours.
- Associate's Degree or technical trade certification, or higher-equivalent education and significant experience in mission-critical services.
- Proficient in written and oral English communication to support regional and global teams.
This role requires the ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
