Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced R&D Lead for High Voltage Insulation to join our team at Technology Center in Ludvika. As a key member of our global team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in high voltage bushing development.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on high voltage insulation components. You will be responsible for leading feasibility studies, developing new technical concepts, and designing new products using proficient FEM software for dielectric and thermal simulations.

You will also be responsible for organizing prototyping and testing activities, documenting and transferring knowledge, and providing technical support to other departments when needed. In addition, you will lead development projects on time, on budget, and on quality, staying up to date with the latest technology solutions and international standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead feasibility studies, develop new technical concepts, and design new products using FEM software.
  • Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies and products.
  • Document and transfer knowledge and findings from R&D to production environment.
  • Provide technical support to other departments when needed.
  • Lead development projects on time, on budget, and on quality.

Requirements

  • Hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of design, testing, and experience in developing high voltage insulation components, preferably bushings.
  • Responsible team player with structured, proactive, self-driven, and result-oriented work approach.
  • Spirit of innovation, 'out of the box' thinking.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering R&D role or similar.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken alike, is a requirement. Swedish is a plus.
