The Role: As an Expansion Lead, you'll focus on understanding market dynamics, identifying high-value opportunities, and driving strategic initiatives to propel business growth. You'll work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to build a robust pipeline of opportunities and ensure our go-to-market strategies are grounded in data and aligned with Medoma's ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis & Sizing
    • Conduct comprehensive research to evaluate existing and emerging markets, analyzing trends, regulatory landscapes, competition, and growth potential.
    • Create detailed reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Segment & ICP Prioritization
    • Define and prioritize market segments and Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) based on data-driven insights.
    • Develop tools and frameworks to continuously evaluate new opportunities and refine our approach.
  • Strategic Project Management
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives that advance business growth objectives, ensuring alignment and clear communication between departments.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to refine lead qualification processes and identify high-potential opportunities.
  • Sales Collaboration
    • Partner with the sales team to develop tailored pitches and proposals that resonate with target segments.
    • Support sales in refining their approaches to effectively engage with clients and drive business results.
  • Partnership Exploration
    • Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships that align with Medoma's growth objectives, focusing on mutually beneficial collaborations.
    • Initiate outreach and build relationships with potential collaborators, fostering a culture of partnership and cooperation.

What We're Looking For:

  • A seasoned professional with experience in high-performance environments, such as strategy, consulting, investment banking, or tech, with 3-5 years in business development, market analysis, or a related field, preferably in healthcare, SaaS, or tech.
  • An analytical mindset with strong research and problem-solving skills, able to turn data into actionable insights and drive strategic decisions.
  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, capable of managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex tasks and priorities efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proven track record of collaboration with diverse teams, demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and presentations that drive business results.
