Your Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to join our Applied Mechanics Department. You will work on developing mechanical testing for high-voltage products, leveraging your expertise in mechanics, electrical testing, chemistry, and materials.

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide technical support to NKT and other industries, helping them overcome complex mechanical issues throughout the product development cycle.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create test set-ups for mechanical investigations and mechanical test fixtures.
  • Perform advanced and standard mechanical tests, including data acquisition and analysis.
  • Manage and participate in consulting and R&D projects from initial client conversations to project conclusion and analysis.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in laboratory testing environments, with a solid understanding of mechanical testing instruments and configurations.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Matlab for data analysis.
  • Good knowledge of English, both verbal and written.
