We are seeking a High Voltage Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Hitachi Energy As a key member of the Valve Mechanical department, you will be responsible for designing and developing high voltage mechanical systems, ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

In this exciting role, you will work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to address complex design challenges and optimize project outcomes. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our HVDC projects, facilitating the integration of renewables into the grid with minimal losses.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop high voltage mechanical systems, utilizing advanced software tools and techniques.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project activities, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  3. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including production and installation drawings.
  4. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Engage with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional results and build strong relationships.
  6. Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement measures to ensure safety and quality standards.
  7. Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

About You:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in 3D modeling and 2D drawing/layout creation, preferably in NX/Teamcenter.
  3. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English required.
  5. Knowledge of Swedish is an asset, while experience with high voltage products is highly desirable.
