Product Design Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Developer to join our team in Älmhult, Sweden. As a Product Design Developer, you will play a key role in developing innovative and sustainable products that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design development of products that deliver on all 5 dimensions of Democratic Design, with a focus on form, function, sustainability, low price, and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive creative decision-making and move projects forward.
- Develop and implement product development projects with a clear vision and action plan.
- Ensure that all products meet IKEA's unique identity and Democratic Design standards.
- Work closely with development partners throughout the value chain to co-create innovative products.
- Identify and communicate product design development stories to stakeholders.
- Contribute to creating high-performing project teams and contribute to the development of the Range and Product & Portfolio plan.
To be successful in this role, you will have a university degree in a design discipline or product development, or equivalent knowledge and experience. You will also have a genuine interest in people, their life at home, and developing products and dishes. You will be innovative and curious, with the ability to work with conceptual ideas and turn them into actual solutions.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with people at a fast pace. You will also have a strong understanding of consumer needs and trends, and be able to conceptualize new products and solutions.
