About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at IKEA. As a key member of our AI & ML Capabilities team, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and operation of digital products.

As a technical leader, you will be responsible for driving the development of AI and ML solutions that meet the needs of our business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, develop and validate ML models, and deliver and run services in production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of AI and ML solutions that drive business value
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions
  • Develop and validate ML models using large language models, fine-tuning, and RAG
  • Deploy and run services in production using cloud-based services, particularly Google Cloud Platform
  • Develop "full-stack" data scientist skills, including data engineering, DevOps, and data visualization
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior peers and stakeholders across the organization
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to increase AI literacy and facilitate adoption of AI tools
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer
  • Knowledge of developing and deploying Machine learning models, particularly natural language processing applications
  • Knowledge of using Large Language models, fine-tuning, and RAG
  • Knowledge of programming languages, particularly Python
  • Knowledge of cloud-based services, particularly Google Cloud Platform
  • "Full-stack" data scientist skills, including data engineering, DevOps, and data visualization
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
