Job Description
We're seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Applied AI team and contribute to the development of modern AI solutions that enhance game development and live games.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced AI solutions, including data pipelines, data quality, and performance monitoring tooling. You'll collaborate with AI Scientists, Data Scientists, Data/MLOps Engineers, Game Analysts, User Researchers, and Ubisoft tech providers to understand business needs and propose robust AI solutions.

Some key areas of focus include:

  • Developing original AI-based solutions to meet game production tooling needs.
  • Creating AI components to personalize and improve the in-game player experience.
  • Developing methods and tools to gain a better understanding of in-game player behaviors.

We're offering a permanent position in Malmö, Sweden, with the flexibility to work partially from home under our Flexible Workplace Policy. Please apply using English, our company's primary language.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, optimizing, deploying, and maintaining end-to-end AI solutions and pipelines integrated in target-specific architectures.
  • Improving performance of pre-existing AI solutions and pipelines, managing re-engineering and smooth transitioning if necessary.
  • Building prototypes in controlled environments and data to perform quick iterations with stakeholders to improve and aim for productization.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to understand and refine business needs, derive data science goals, success metrics, and tasks, and loop back learnings and feedback to support projects.
  • Defining, implementing, and maintaining ETLs that assemble large and complex datasets from heterogeneous data sources.
  • Contributing to defining and implementing best practices in terms of infrastructure, deployment pipelines, CI/CD tools, code quality, and unit tests.
  • Documenting processes, modeling steps, ETLs, reports, and tools within the centralized department documentation repository.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience in AI engineering with a wide range of technical environments and machine learning techniques.
  • Proven work experience in game development using a game engine.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and C++.
  • Proficient with various cloud services and large-scale distributed architectures.
  • A master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science/AI/Machine Learning Engineering, or a similar field, or the equivalent work experience.
