About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team at IKEA. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the development of data products that will revolutionize the way we simplify accounting information for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, and maintain data products to promote data consumption across the organization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures to support data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and stewards to ensure data quality, reliability, and security.
  • Coach and develop junior team members to become world-class data engineers.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on large-scale data pipelines and architectures.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Scala, and Spark.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data wrangling, and security.
  • Experience working with cloud computing environments, such as Google Cloud Platform and Azure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
