  • We are particularly interested in mechanisms that regulate initiation, growth, and survival of ALK-driven neuroblastoma, and we invite applications from candidates with experience in genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, and histology.

As a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Biomedicine, you will have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the team, collaborate on designing and implementing projects, and apply your expertise in mouse models and cell culture systems.

We require strong laboratory knowledge, documented training in handling mice, and experience with xenografts. Knowledge of ultra sound imaging, MRI, biochemical assays, and cell culture model systems is an advantage.

Our group has recently identified ALK ligands and developed mouse models of ALK-driven NB together with BioID. Further, our protocol combining ATR and ALK inhibition has led to complete regression of NB tumours in our ALK-driven NB GEMMs.

The employment is full-time and temporary, two years with the possibility of one year's extension, with placement at the Institute of Biomedicine. The University of Gothenburg values diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all employees.

About the ProjectDespite advances in treatment and genetic classification of DLBCL, between 30 to 40% of patients still die from the disease. This heterogeneity can likely not be explained by genetic changes alone. Our research group has found over-expression of interferon-stimulated proteins, which previously have not been described in DLBCL, appearing to...
